It is so important that anyone over the age of 55 know the importance of the Intraocular Multifocal Lens. More than likely all of us will develop a
cataract in our lifetime. With the technology of the Intraocular Multifocal Lens, it is no longer necessary to wear glasses after the removal of the cataract. Prior to this technology vision was greatly improved after cataract surgery, however reading and up close vision was not possible without the help of glasses. Today the Intraocular Multifocal Lens is implanted during surgery, replacing the old, yellowed natural lens (the cataract) and works as a new fresh lens focusing at all distances...near, intermediate and far. No more glasses! It is incredible! My parents (pictured) are in their 60's and 70's. They have just been diagnosed with cataracts and I am adamant that when they are ready to have the cataracts removed that they definitely get the upgraded Multifocal Lens Implant. They are excited about the new technology too and can't believe that after all these years won't have to worry about their glasses! It is great technology for anyone suffering from cataracts. Freedom from glasses at last!
